Douglas Adams

Douglas Noël Adams war ein berühmter britischer Autor, Komiker und Musiker, am besten bekannt für seine Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy-Reihe. Die Reihe begann als Radioshow und erweiterte sich zu einer beliebten "Trilogie" von fünf Büchern, die während seines Lebens über 15 Millionen Exemplare verkaufte. Die Reihe brachte auch eine Television-Serie, Comicbuch-Serie, Computerspiel und einen Spielfilm hervor.

Neben seiner Arbeit an Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy war Adams auch ein Drehbuchautor für die Science-Fiction-Fernsehserie Doctor Who und diente als deren Drehbuchredakteur während der 17. Staffel. Er war für seinen geistreichen und extrem scharfsinnigen Humor bekannt, eine irreverente Art von Science-Fiction, die einige der größten philosophischen Fragen der Menschheit beleuchtete.
