Kim Newman ist ein renommierter englischer Autor, Journalist und Filmkritiker. Er hat sich durch seine Arbeit auf den Gebieten der Science-Fiction, Fantasy und Horror einen Namen gemacht. Newmans Schreibkarriere begann mit der Veröffentlichung seines ersten Romans, The Night Mayor, im Jahr 1989. Bekannt ist er jedoch vor allem für seine Anno Dracula-Reihe, die bei den Lesern auf große Resonanz stößt.
