Dr. Scott Hahn ist ein bekannter Autor, Redner und Theologe, der 1957 in den USA geboren wurde. Er ist seit 1979 mit Kimberly verheiratet und sie haben sechs Kinder und erwarten ihr zwölftes Enkelkind. Dr. Hahn ist eine bekannte Persönlichkeit in katholischen Kreisen und ist bekannt für seine fesselnden und informationsreichen Vorträge zu verschiedenen Themen im Zusammenhang mit der Bibel und dem katholischen Glauben. Er hat zahlreiche Vorträge im In- und Ausland gehalten, von denen viele von St. Joseph Communications aufgezeichnet und produziert wurden.
Derzeit ist Dr. Hahn Professor für Theologie und Schrift an der Franciscan University of Steubenville, wo er seit 1990 unterrichtet. Er ist auch Gründer und Direktor des Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology. Im Jahr 2005 wurde er zum Pope Benedict XVI Chair of Biblical Theology and Liturgical Proclamation am St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, ernannt. Dr. Hahn ist ein produktiver Autor und hat mehr als vierzig Bücher veröffentlicht, darunter "The Lamb's Supper", "Reasons to Believe" und "Rome Sweet Home", das er gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Kimberly verfasst hat. Zu seinen neueren Werken gehören "Many Are Called", "Hope for Hard Times", "The Catholic Bible Dictionary" und "Signs of Life".
Bevor Dr. Hahn zum Katholizismus konvertierte, erwarb er 1979 einen Bachelor of Arts mit Schwerpunkt Theologie, Philosophie und Wirtschaft am Grove City College, Pennsylvania. Anschließend erwarb er 1982 seinen Master of Divinity am Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary und 1995 seinen Ph.D. in Biblischer Theologie an der Marquette University. Dr. Hahn hat zehn Jahre Erfahrung in der Jugendarbeit und im pastoralen Dienst in protestantischen Gemeinden und war ehemaliger Professor für Theologie am Chesapeake Theological Seminary. Er wurde 1982 in der Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairfax, Virginia, ordiniert und trat 1986 in die katholische Kirche ein.
