Linda O. Johnston ist eine erfolgreiche US-amerikanische Autorin, bekannt für ihre Mystery- und Liebesromane. Sie wurde 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, geboren und entdeckte bereits in jungen Jahren ihr Interesse am Schreiben. Erste Schreibversuche unternahm sie mit acht Jahren, als sie ein Epos verfassen wollte.
Zu Johnstons bekannten Buchserien zählen Kendra Ballantyne, Alpha Force und Pet Rescue, wobei Hunde ein wiederkehrendes Thema in vielen ihrer Romane sind. Ihre erste veröffentlichte Fiktion erschien in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine und gewann den Robert L. Fish Memorial Award für die beste erste Mystery-Kurzgeschichte des Jahres. Seitdem hat sie zahlreiche Kurzgeschichten, Novellen und 50 Liebes- und Mystery-Romane veröffentlicht, darunter die Pet Rescue Mystery Series, ein Spin-off ihrer Kendra Ballantyne, Pet-Sitter mysteries für Berkley Prime Crime.
Derzeit schreibt Linda Johnston die Barkery and Biscuits Mysteries Cosy Mystery Series für Midnight Ink und verfasste für sie auch die Superstition Mysteries, beide mit Hunden als Handlungsträger. Sie schrieb außerdem die Pet Rescue Mystery Series für Berkley Prime Crime, ein Spin-off ihrer Kendra Ballantyne, Pet-Sitter mystery series. Linda schreibt ebenfalls für Harlequin Romantic Suspense, darunter eine neue Miniserie über einen K-9-Ranch, auf der Hunde ausgebildet werden. Zusätzlich schreibt sie Paranormal Romance für Harlequin Nocturne, darunter die Alpha Force-Miniserie über eine geheime militärische Einheit von Gestaltwandlern, in der alle Werwölfe auch Deckhunde haben.
Als Vollzeitautorin tätig, war Linda vorher Anwältin und genießt den Austausch mit ihren Leserinnen und Lesern.
